Job Description
Supports the mission statement of Facilities Management in the repair and maintenance of the University's mechanized equipment. Supervision of mechanics and performance of work while maintaining vehicles and other equipment in safe and operational condition.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of mechanical repair of motorized equipment, ranging from small engines and construction equipment to diesel buses. Ability to prioritize and schedule work from a varied customer base.
Ability to operate a computer and maintain detailed records.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs
Refrigeration Certification, hold a Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 1 year, and Certification as a master technician.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, training, and or certification in Automotive Technology of ASE preferred.
Employment Conditions: Valid CDL or Valid DL with the ability to obtain CDL within one year of employment. Position is designated as essential personnel.
