Job Description
The Senior Banner ERP Developer Analyst is an experienced enterprise systems professional with deep knowledge of the Ellucian Banner ERP environment and higher education business processes. This role focuses on designing, integrating, and supporting Banner and related enterprise applications, with an emphasis on SQL-based data access, integrations, and modern system architectures.
As a key member of the Enterprise Systems team, this position supports critical institutional systems by developing secure solutions, managing integrations between Banner and connected applications, and ensuring reliable data flows. The role actively supports efforts to modernize integrations and reduce reliance on tightly coupled customizations in preparation for cloud and SaaS-based environments.
The Senior Banner ERP Developer Analyst works closely with functional partners, vendors, and technical teams to analyze requirements, implement scalable solutions, and ensure systems meet operational, regulatory, and reporting needs. In addition to hands-on technical work, the position provides technical guidance and documentation.
Position is eligible for up to 100% remote work with occasional visits to campus for required meetings, orientation, training, etc.
Required Qualifications
•At least five (5) years of experience supporting, implementing, and developing solutions within the Ellucian Banner ERP environment in a higher education setting.
•Proven ability to analyze requirements, solve complex system issues, and collaborate effectively with functional partners, vendors, and technical teams.
•Demonstrated understanding of Banner data structures and data flows across connected applications.
•Strong SQL and API skills supporting Banner data access and system integrations.
•High level of professionalism with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
•Advanced degree in a related field or a bachelor's degree and training/experience equating to an advanced degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience configuring, developing and administering integrations using Ellucian Ethos/Data Connect, Constituo or other enterprise integration platforms.
•Familiarity with key Ellucian Banner modules, particularly Student, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable and related higher education processes.
•Experience with DegreeWorks, EAB Navigate 360, Banner Document Management, or similar student success and document management systems.
•Knowledge of Ellucian Ethos, including API-based integrations and the Ethos data model.
•Experience with Ellucian Administrative Pages, Self-Service Banner (SSB), and PageBuilder.
•Familiarity with Slate CRM or similar admissions CRM platforms and their integration with Banner.
•Experience supporting or contributing to modernization efforts, including reducing customizations and moving toward cloud or SaaS-based solutions.
