Job Description
The Business Technology Analyst, Registrar applies expertise in data management, system administration, and process improvement to optimize Registrar-supported systems and workflows. The role is responsible for analyzing, configuring, and maintaining systems that manage student records, registration, curriculum, and scheduling. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and IT, the Analyst ensures accurate, efficient, and user-friendly processes. Core systems supported include Ellucian Banner Student and SSB, DegreeWorks, Modern Campus Curriculum and Catalog, Ad Astra, and Parchment. This position serves as a data owner and approver for student data, and plays a critical role in the security, integrity, and accessibility of academic records. The position leads technical projects, performs analysis and configuration of multiple systems , serves as a liaison with IT and vendor support teams, and participates in the implementation of new systems and enhancements.
Up to 100% remote with some required in-person meetings, trainings, etc.
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in one of these fields with equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with Ellucian Banner Student or comparable SIS.
• Knowledge of FERPA and academic records management.
• Proficiency with SQL and reporting tools.
• Experience coordinating system implementations and technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Registrar system administration.
• Knowledge of Degree Works, catalog management systems, scheduling software (Ad Astra), and transcript services (Parchment, NSC).
• Demonstrated ability to lead process automation initiatives.
• Experience training staff and faculty on academic systems.
