Job Description

Supplement the faculty of the Department of Geospatial and Environmental
Sciences whenever additional faculty are needed to provide instruction.

Required Qualifications

All faculty must have at least a Master’s degree in the field/discipline in which
they are teaching with 18 hours of course work related to the course(s) being
taught. In some cases, subject to the approval by the Provost, a faculty
member could be recommended for appointment based on substitution of
significant experience for the degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior teaching experience.

Interested candidates should submit (1) a letter of application describing
your background and potential contributions to the department; (2)
curriculum vitae; (3) a two-page statement on your teaching philosophy,
including examples of your teaching effectiveness and addressing how you
promote diversity, equity, and inclusion; and (4) names and contact
information for three professional references.

Applicants must submit an unofficial copy of transcripts of post-secondary
course work with the application. If the applicant’s official transcripts are on
file in the Office of the Provost, a statement indicating such, must be
submitted in lieu of the documents with the application. Official transcripts
of all post-secondary course work will be required upon selection for hire.

Adjunct instructors must attend a scheduled adjunct orientation as offered
upon appointment. Orientation date and time will be announced.
