Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Equipment Repair Tech, the Small Engine repair Tech will repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems and other components of a wide variety of automotive, diesel, mechanical and snow removal equipment. Major duties include: inspecting, diagnosing, modifying and making repairs to grounds equipment, and automotive fleet vehicles of all types. The Tech will also provide maintenance and repair to motor vehicles and grounds care equipment, as well as support special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

Experiences with auto mechanic and maintenance. Knowledge of internal combustion engines, drive train, brake system and electrical system of automobiles. Ability to work within a University environment. Vehicle operator license required. Commercial driver’s license, or ability to obtain within 6 months required.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or Certification in Automotive Technology of ASE. Experiences with repair of ground maintenance equipment.
