The standard schedule for this position while students are on campus will be Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (with a one-hour break) and Friday 8 a.m. to noon, for a total of 40 hours per week. Employee may choose to work 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a one-hour break M – Th and a full 8 – 5 p.m. Friday, for a total of 40 hours per week.

Regluar working hours of Mon – Fri 8 – 5 when students are not on campus (summer and holidays).

Job Summary

The Development Coordinator (Phonathon) is an essential member of the Office for University Advancement, specifically, for the Phonathon program within the Annual Giving department. The Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to oversee all operations of the Phonathon, including student recruitment, hiring, training and management, as well as planning, implementation, and evaluation of Phonathon campaigns. The Phonathon hosts campaigns on behalf of the University, individual colleges, and other programs and areas of the University. This position has great opportunity for growth and the potential to collaborate on additional advancement and annual giving priorities, including (but not limited to) direct mail, student and young alumni giving, faculty/staff giving, parent giving, and donor stewardship. The Coordinator will report to the Director of Annual Giving and be a part of the University Advancement at large team.

Required Qualifications

Experience in higher education, direct mail, annual giving, call center, advertising OR sales, or a similar setting. Effective communication skills and strong organizational skills/attention to detail. Availability to work on weekends and/or evenings as necessary. Ability to interpret and utilize data and statistical trends to make decisions. Capability of managing and motivating a diverse group of students. Experience and proficiency with current office software products such as Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education and fundraising experience in annual giving programs. Experience with CAMPUSCALL and/or any dialing software/database and Raiser’s Edge.

Alternate work schedule

While student callers are on campus working, the Development Coordinator will work Monday – Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (with a one-hour break) and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday (total of 40 hours). The Coordinator may choose to work 8-hour days M – Th (10:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) and 8 hours on Friday (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) instead (for a total of 40 hours).

When the students are not present (summers and holidays), the Coordinator willy work standard hours (M – F, 8 – 5)
