Job Description
Efficiently provides administrative support for clinical agency compliance including but not limited to criminal background checks, CPR certifications, and inoculations records; provides timely response to frequent student phone calls and/or emails.
Engages with clinical coordinators within each of the disciplines in the WCHHS regarding clinical clearance requirements for clinical contract agencies. Works with clinical departments within the WCHHS for clinical clearance.
Assists the college with winter and spring college commencement ceremonies.
Assists with special projects in Waldron College, such as Faculty Research Awards and Waldron College Outstanding Faculty and Staff Awards.
Represents the Dean or Associate Dean at meetings when neither are available.
Assists with student scholarship awards for College-based scholarships
Assist with WCHHS Communication Plan (social media, newsletter, etc.)
Assist with and coordinates review efforts of student scholarship awards for college-based scholarships
Reviews, and combines updates, for the Waldron College section of the University Catalog;
Assists with recruiting and training students in the Waldron Student Ambassadors' program;
Prepares reports for the Dean, and department/school chairs and directors, such as enrollment data, data analysis for accreditation support;
Assists with and coordinates efforts for Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPE) events and activities in the college;
Assists with Governor's School as needed.
Assists with Quest, Open House (Highlander Days) and other recruitment related activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean to support the college.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated positive customer service attitude. Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment. Excellent time management skills. Experience providing administrative or programmatic support. Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet research. Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and diverse environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an educational setting, including student systems database (such as Banner), electronic purchasing systems (such as eVA). Working knowledge of university and state policies/procedures.
