Job Description
Duties include, but are not limited to: teaching design/technical theatre classes, theatre appreciation, makeup, advanced makeup, basic sewing for stagecraft class, supervision of the shop manager and work-study students, as well as designing costumes and mentoring student designers for departmental productions.
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree/MFA in Costume Design or an MFA in Design with an emphasis on Costume Design. Proven experience in undergraduate teaching, costume construction, including period construction, makeup, wig/hair, and wardrobe.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference is given to candidates with additional expertise in other areas of theatre/entertainment design; experience in mentoring student designers is desired; and/or knowledge of online course delivery is desired.
