Job Description

Plan, implement, and evaluate academic curriculum and assigned teaching responsibilities for the PA Program

Teaching: Engages in teaching activities according to expertise in the classroom, laboratory and/or clinical setting.  Participates in the development, evaluation and modification of curriculum as appropriate to meet professional and accreditation standards.

Administration: Performs administrative duties as assigned, if applicable.

Professional Competence: Maintains professional competence through continuing education and/or professional practice.

Required Qualifications

A. Education: Master’s Degree required in PA studies or terminal degree (or expectation of completion of terminal degree) in appropriate field for courses taught.

B. Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience required for faculty with a clinical provider background.

C. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Required per professional title/certification requirements and accreditor requirements.

D. Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good understanding of educational principles and methodologies. Ability to demonstrate psychomotor skills effectively while explaining steps to learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience preferred.
