Job Description

The successful applicant will become part of the History Department's adjunct pool and may have opportunities to teach courses in the department depending on need.

Adjunct Faculty positions supplement the faculty of a department wherever additional faculty are needed. Adjunct faculty hold three year appointments, as defined by their letter of appointment without eligibility for tenure; where authorized by the Dean, adjunct appointments may be renewed. Adjunct appointments do not guarantee course assignments.

Required Qualifications

All faculty must have earned at least a Master's degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching with 18 credit hours of coursework related to the course(s) being taught.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants able to teach U.S. History and available for in person instruction.

Applicants must submit an unofficial copy of transcripts of post-secondary course work with the application. If the applicant’s official transcripts are on file in the Office of the Provost, a statement indicating such, must be submitted in lieu of the documents with the application. Official transcripts of all post-secondary course work will be required upon selection for hire.
