Radford University is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist to join the Department of Public Safety and support a comprehensive, all-hazards emergency management program. This position plays an active role in strengthening the University’s preparedness, response, recovery, and continuity capabilities across the campus community.
The Emergency Management Specialist supports the development and maintenance of emergency plans and continuity programs; coordinates training, exercises, and preparedness initiatives; assists with emergency notification and crisis communication; supports Emergency Operations Center activities and incident response; and works collaboratively with departments and external partners to enhance University readiness. The position also contributes to public education and outreach efforts designed to build a culture of preparedness throughout the University.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and motivated emergency management professional who can build relationships, manage multiple projects, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and translate emergency management principles into practical programs and solutions.
